I missed the end of the world

I was so ready for the apocalypse to start and then nothing.  I am so disappointed.  Here I was planning my looting and squating.  I was even hoping for some zombie action.   But alas we will live to plan to die possibly on another day.

Glenn Beck is a moron!

As a general rule, I don't care to what politics one adheres.  I have my own opinions, they belong solely to me.  Some of my opinions are dead on, and some are wrong.

Glenn Beck, however, is as crass and moronic an individual as I have seen.  In one of his recent radio shows, he makes some chauvinistic remarks about Mehan McCain in regards to her recent PSA concerning skin cancer.  I am amazed that someone with the responsibility to inform the public would behave so.  He alludes to her weight problem and made retching sounds to display his disgust.

I've seen Megan McCain's photos.  While, I have never met her in person, I can state that she has no weight problem.  She appears to be a very attractive person who doesn't fit the anorexic mold of many models.  Good for her.  Personally I applaud her self confidence to stand naked in front of a camera and show the world who she is.

I have a daughter who is in her preteen years.  I know that the world is cruel to girls for their image.  I dread the way she will feel as she tries to fit into that mold.  I pray that role models like Megan McCain continue to defy the Glenn Beck society.

As to Glenn Beck, I think the majority of the public sees you for your small mindedness and your petty actions.  Thankfully you will be relegated to radio from now on.

Writer's Block

Arrgg!!  I'm frustrated at the stall I am feeling.  I know where the story needs to end but having a little trouble deciding the best roads to take.  The more I engulf myself into the character, the more avenues I want to see him go down.

Water For Elephants

While I don't find Robert Pattinson to be the greatest actor of his generation (I admit that I am more Team Jacob,) the hype his new movie Water For Elephants did intrigue me.  However, being a avid reader, I can only assume the book will be better than the movie.  That means that I want to read it before I see the film.

Sara Gruen does a great job recreating  Depression Era circus life.  Or at least as far as my limited knowledge of Depression Era circus life goes.  The story moves with so much fervor that I barely have time to eat my caramel apple before the story has pulled stakes and moved towns.  The characters are vivid, and the interactions within the menagerie and on the train are enthralling.  The recollections of Jacob as an old man tie the story together tightly.

I strongly recommend reading Water For Elephants and try to be immersed in the show.

My new book is on Kindle

I'm excited to state that my book, Blood Remembered, is for sale on the Amazon Kindle.  It's priced at a whopping $.99. So it's a great deal.

Blood Remembered is a murder mystery set in a small town in Arkansas.

When Max Sawyer was on the verge of graduating high school, he came home one evening to find his parents brutally murdered. He left his hometown of Hellenston, Arkansas with the intention of never returning again.

Years later, he is awakened by a phone call alerting him that his high school girlfriend, Amanda Rawls, was arrested for murdering her estranged fiancee. Max makes his way back to Hellenston to find that the years have changed the town, but that the evil that he encountered as a teenager is still present. He traverses familiar grounds to battle the memories he has hidden away while trying to save the woman he has loved since he was a boy.

I would very much appreciate any feedback.
